Moopuh.

So as I mentioned I’ve been workin’ on my hatchin’ skills, so, whilst i was doodlin’, decided to turn it into a hatching/inking techniques exercise.

I wanted to also play with the “talking bubble” design, but didn’t know what I wanted the guy to say…sooo at first I thought of “moooop”…and decided to add the “uh”. hence, “moopuh”.

This lil’ sucker took me some time, but I took away some lessons from it, ;) , take it easy folks!

    A Sinister Kid.

I am a big fan of the Black Keys, and, on one fine day, was listenin’ to the song, “Sinister Kid”…while listening I sketched and inked this bad boy…had me a new brush pen and small point ink pen to do it with, it was a good day :D .

I wrote some of the lyrics from the song onto this drawing…I feel that my stuff that comes “in the moment”, right at the moment of inspiration, is some of my better stuff…captures more of my passion..

I’m liking where i’m going with my hatching and linework..hoping to develop this more…

Thats it for now, hope everyone is havin’ a great weekend!

      holy hatchin’ batman

So i tell you, moving to a big new city, working 2 jobs aaand tryin to maintain freelance work…and doodle…is def not a recommendation to anyone tryin’ not to have their heads explode, haha. things are better now, and i’m finally finding my routine outta the mess that was my schedule thus far. so, this lil guy i doodled straight in ink and, funny enough, was gonna start over mid way through the drawing, but decided to keep workin’ it out…best advice i can give anyone…always try to work out the drawing rather than starting over…in most cases than not, it has helped me to produce some of my better work..and this case is no exemption..

i really discovered the wonders of photoshop digital coloring, this being my first “official” second attempt..and i’m quite excited with what my experimenting brought me..can’t wait to do it again, :D

i also dig this style aand hope to work with it more in the future..esp with the hatching..the way i was coloring initially (in illustrator) didn’t allow me to be so tedious in my detail..but this “new” way does…sooo expect to see a lot more hatching in the near future..

thats it for now, take it easy!

the world exploded into love all around me.

dedicated a lovely friend of mine currently studyin’ away in spain, this is a visual conception of the Bob Schneider song, “the world exploded love”

it was one of those “trance drawings”, where, ur not plaaanning on working on anything really, but you can sucked into the music you’re listening to, and your hand just starts drawing..

i then glamourized it a bit with photoshop, but this was a straight-ink then scan and color drawing, no pencil…i always like drawing straight on the paper with ink..you can’t erase, and with a general concept of whats going to go on you don’t know exactly what its going to look like…but thats half the fun in it all, eh? :D
